Hello,
I'm Meg and I warmly welcome you to my blog. My goal is to simply share my thoughts with others who may be struggling with depression and other mental health conditions in hopes that people may feel a little less alone, a little less invisible. Life can be a struggle for those of us who deal with depression, sometimes starting a new day can feel so daunting and lonely. In the day and age of technological advancement we have become even more alone and isolated, even with the world wide web at our fingertips.
I have many passions in my life, I enjoy cooking and I'm looking forward to sharing many of my favorite recipes with you. I also enjoy writing, listening to music, and gaming--I'll happily share my thoughts with these things as well and lastly, I used to be an esthetician (beauty therapist) and I'm looking to offer my insights into skin care, self-care, and promoting mental health and wellbeing under the scope of skin care advice. Self-care often gets neglected when we're faced with depression and anxiety, I'm hoping to be able to offer encouragement and support with self-care, as it's something I often struggle with as well. We tend to focus on the needs of others and less on ourselves, while helping others can be a wonderful thing, it's also important that we focus on caring for own well-being so that we may be able to have the energy and strength to support friends and family.
So grab a blanket, a mug of your favorite hot drink and cozy up to some musings, for when life gets too hard, for days when you feel like you can't get out of bed and are needing some comfort. Know that you aren't alone and that each step you take, every time you decide to face a brand new day, that you are doing your absolute best and my hope for you is that one day it will get better for all of us.
Let's kick off this blog with one of my favorite songs from the game "Lake", this is royalty free music provided by Epidemic Sounds, no affiliate or sponsorship, just wanting to share some good vibes your way. To listen click here: Open Sky Velvet Moon
A friend who cares,
Meg
